Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Leads Multi-Agency Operation Targeting Criminal and Drug Activity

Rowan County, N.C. (Tuesday, May 13, 2025) - From May 6 through May 9, 2025, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office conducted a coordinated multi-agency operation targeting criminal and drug-related activity acrossRowan County.

This initiative was conducted in partnership with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, Davie County Sheriff’s Office, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

This collaborative enforcement effort was designed to proactively address and disrupt criminal activity through shared resources, enhanced manpower, and strategic deployment.

Operations focused on key areas throughout
the county, including the Interstate 85 corridor and inner-city neighborhoods in Salisbury, Spencer, and East Spencer.

As a result of this joint initiative, multiple drug-related arrests were made. These cases remain under
active investigation. The increased law enforcement presence along Interstate 85 also contributed to a
significant reduction in traffic-related complaints, particularly those involving speeding and reckless driving.

Looking ahead, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office intends to conduct several more operations in collaboration with outside agencies as well as local municipal law enforcement partners. These future initiatives will continue to focus on combating criminal activity and actively enforcing motor vehicle laws to enhance the safety and well-being of the entire Rowan County community.

This operation demonstrated the effectiveness of multi-agency collaboration in promoting public safety and addressing serious criminal concerns in our communities. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office remains committedto protecting the citizens of Rowan County through coordinated efforts like this.
