Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public’s Help to Find Missing Man, 42-Year-Old Tony Lee Moss

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. (August 29, 2025) – The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the community’s assistance in locating a missing man, 42-year-old Tony Lee Moss, who was reported missing by his family on August 28, 2025.

 

According to investigators, Moss was last known to be in the Granite Quarry area in May 2025. Since then, his family has been unable to make recent contact with him and expressed growing concern for his safety.

 

Sheriff Travis Allen and the Criminal Investigation Division are actively working the case and urging anyone with information to come forward.

 

“We need the public’s help to bring Tony home safely. Any piece of information, no matter how small, could be critical to this investigation,” Sheriff Allen said.

 

The Sheriff’s Office stresses the importance of community involvement in cases like this, as sightings or tips often play a key role in locating missing persons.
