15-Year-Old Found Dead in Randolph County; Death Investigation Underway

A death investigation is underway in Randolph County after human remains were discovered on an undeveloped tract of land in Trinity on June 25. Deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and found evidence indicating the victim had been shot multiple times.

 

The North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later identified the victim as 15-year-old Chance Jenkins of High Point. Jenkins had been reported missing by his family to the High Point Police Department around June 16.
