ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Emergency crews responded to a serious traffic accident in the 6100 block of South Main Street where two individuals were reported pinned inside a vehicle.
Initial reports indicate that one of the drivers involved in the crash fled the scene on foot. A K-9 unit from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office was deployed to assist in the search for the suspect.
First responders worked to free the individuals trapped in the vehicle. Their conditions have not yet been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
