Narcotics Investigation Leads to Arrest at 712 Maple Avenue

SALISBURY, N.C. (June 12, 2025) - In May 2025, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) initiated a narcotics investigation into suspected drug activity at 712 Maple Avenue, Apartment 3. The investigation is part of an ongoing effort to identify and target neighborhood-level drug dealers contributing to local criminal activity.

Through the course of the investigation, William "Burger" Neely was identified as the primary individual involved in the distribution of crack cocaine from the residence. On June 10, 2025, SIU executed a search warrant at the location.

During the search, investigators seized crack cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. William Neely was arrested at the scene and is facing multiple drug-related charges.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
