Guilford County Fentanyl Bust Involving Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Leads to Arrest of School Teacher and Another Suspect

Sheriff Danny H. Rogers reports that on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the Guilford County Narcotics Task Force, with assistance from the Rowan County Sheriff's Office, concluded a narcotics-related investigation that resulted in the seizure of approximately 1,250 grams of fentanyl.

As a result of the investigation, Jordan Allen Jefferson, 37, was arrested and charged with:

  • (3) Felony Aiding and Abetting
  • Felony Level 3 Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling for the Keeping or Selling of Controlled Substances
  • Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Jefferson is currently being held under no bond in the Guilford County Detention Center in Greensboro.

Saadia Marie-Denise Owen, 32, was also arrested and charged with:

  • (2) Felony Level 3 Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling for the Keeping or Selling Controlled Substances Owen is currently being held under a secured bond of $3 million in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Reducing fentanyl-related overdoses and deaths remains a core objective of the Guilford County Narcotics Task Force. The task force is a collaborative effort between the Guilford County Sheriff's Office (GCSO), Greensboro Police Department (GPD), NC State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This seizure may have saved lives and sends a strong message to those trafficking deadly drugs in our community.

As this is an ongoing investigation, no further information is available at this time.

Update: One of those arrested, Saadia Marie-Denise Owen, was a teacher at Southern Guilford Middle School.
