Press Release from the Rowan County Sheriff's Office

SALISBURY, N.C. (July 11, 2025) - On July 1, 2025, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at 5520 Old Mocksville Road in Salisbury following a month-long investigation into the illegal distribution of narcotics within Rowan County.

Detectives had been investigating Stacey Bryant and Adam Anderson for their suspected involvement in trafficking fentanyl, a powerful and deadly synthetic opioid, in our community. The investigation concluded in the execution of the search warrant, during which investigators seized approximately 15 grams of fentanyl, 24 grams of methamphetamine, 18 grams of cocaine, numerous opioid pills, and two illegal firearms from the residence. Stacey Bryant was charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Opioid, Possession with Intent to Sell Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell Methamphetamine, Possession of a Schedule IV, and maintaining a dwelling for the use and sale of a controlled substance. Adam Anderson was charged with Possession of a firearm by Felon, Possession of Schedule II x2, and maintaining a dwelling for the use and sale of a controlled substance. Wayne Morrison was charged with Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

Fentanyl is an incredibly dangerous substance—just a few milligrams can be lethal. Its presence in our community poses a serious threat, not only to those struggling with addiction but also to the public, including children and first responders. We will continue to prioritize efforts to remove this poison from our streets.

The operation is part of the Sheriff’s Office ongoing commitment to combat the opioid crisis and keep Rowan County communities safe.
