Rowan County, NC (July 22, 2025) — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is releasing an update to a Facebook post we posted on July 11, 2025, regarding ongoing investigations at a residence located at 5520 Old Mocksville Road.
On July 1, 2025, detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of Adam Anderson. During the search, multiple firearms were located along with several narcotics. Upon further examination, one of the firearms was determined to be fully automatic. As a result, investigators pursued additional charges against Anderson, including possession of a weapon of mass destruction.
On July 16, 2025, Vice and Narcotics Detectives returned to the residence to serve an arrest warrant for the weapon of mass destruction charge. During the arrest, investigators observed evidence of additional criminal activity. A subsequent search warrant was obtained and executed.
During the second search, detectives located approximately 80 grams of methamphetamine, 1 gram of fentanyl, and 1.8 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. Drug paraphernalia was also discovered on the premises.
As a result of the findings, Adam Anderson was charged with the following offenses:
• Trafficking Methamphetamine
• Maintaining a Dwelling for the Use and Sale of a Controlled Substance
• Felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Felony Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance
• Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction
The investigation remains ongoing. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is committed to the continued enforcement of drug and weapons laws to ensure the safety of the community.
