
SALISBURY, N.C., (Wednesday, July16, 2025) - On Saturday, June 28, 2025, at approximately 10:36 p.m., officers with the Salisbury Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of East Liberty Street. Officers arrived at the scene and located an unresponsive male lying in the street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The male subject was identified as Cleveland Sinclair Davis (45 years old). Mr. Davis was transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for treatment.
On Sunday, June 29, 2025, Mr. Davis succumbed to his injuries while at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
The Salisbury Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, with the assistance of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations (NCSBI), was able to quickly identify a suspect. On July 15, 2025, the Salisbury Police Department arrested Jamel Lee Station (47 years old) for the homicide. Mr. Station was placed in the Rowan County Detention under no-bond for the charge of Murder.
