HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION - EMANUEL ROAD, CABARRUS COUNTY

On July 25, 2025, at approximately 9:48 am, the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call reporting a deceased individual located in the driveway of a residence at 5656 Emanuel Road, Rockwell (Cabarrus County).

Deputies arrived and discovered a male victim, later identified as Ralph Eudy (76-year-old white male), suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. EMS personnel confirmed Mr. Eudy was deceased at the scene. The area was secured, and detectives began processing the scene for evidence.

Deputies and detectives are actively investigating this homicide, following up on leads, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and seeking any information that may help identify the suspects). We will update the media as soon as possible, while maintaining the integrity of the investigation.

We are asking the public for help in locating a missing vehicle belonging to the victim. The vehicle is a 2012 white Chevrolet Colorado, with a noticeable stain on the tailgate. NC license plate ZV9249.|

Additionally, a silver 4-door vehicle, possibly a Dodge Intrepid (with an unknown tag number), has been mentioned in social media posts as being seen in the area around the time of the incident. At this time, the individual associated with this vehicle has NOT been connected to the crime, and any speculation suggesting otherwise is premature. However, we would like to speak with the person who was operating this vehicle to determine whether they have information that could assist with the investigation.
