SALISBURY, NC (August 30, 2025) — The Salisbury Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred during a reported home invasion early Saturday morning, leaving one man dead.
Officers were dispatched around 2:13 a.m. to the 300 block of Klumac Road after receiving reports of a home invasion and gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Jabreel Kzarion Russell suffering from a gunshot wound.
As authorities investigated, yellow crime scene tape stretched across the roadway. Family members and friends gathered nearby, consoling one another while investigators worked at the scene.
