ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. (September 26, 2025) – On September 17, 2025, troopers with the NC State Highway Patrol requested the assistance of a K-9 unit ,with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, at a traffic stop on I-85 near exit 76. K-9 Tess and her handler responded to assist.
K-9 Tess alerted to the presence of narcotics, which prompted a search of the vehicle by troopers on the scene. The search revealed four large suitcases containing marijuana along with some cash inside the vehicle.
Great job to K-9 Tess and her handler for assisting in taking these illegal drugs off the streets of Rowan County.
