Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Press Release

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. (September 30, 2025) – On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at 142 Larin Way. 45-year-old Eric Franklin Cox was arrested on Friday, September 26, 2025, on warrants related to the search warrant.

Investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office obtained the search warrant after information was gathered suggesting stolen property was at the residence of Cox. Stolen tools from a burglary that had occurred earlier in the month were located along with other property stolen from another theft.

In addition to the stolen items, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other paraphernalia were located, indicative of narcotic sales. As a result of the evidence found, Eric Cox was charged with five counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sale, and deliver methamphetamine; possession with intent to manufacture, sale, and deliver a schedule two controlled substance; maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cox was placed in the Rowan County Jail under a $75,000 secured bond and has since posted bail.

During the search, two other individuals were located with outstanding warrants for their arrest, unrelated to the investigation. 29-year-old Alex Wesley Sadler was wanted for interfering with an electronic monitor and probation violation, and 41-year-old Kristen Nichole Connor had warrants for felony financial card fraud and misdemeanor larceny.

The investigation into the stolen property is still ongoing.
