
Randolph County, N.C. – The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a 9-year-old girl who was reported missing Sunday in the Sophia community.
Deputies say Laura Barbara Escobar was last seen on Roy Farlow Road. She was wearing an olive green shirt with a frog design, matching olive green shorts, and black Crocs at the time of her disappearance. Investigators said she left the area on foot and did not take any personal belongings with her.
Escobar is described as 4 feet 1 inch tall, weighing about 68 pounds. She has waist-length brown hair usually tied in a ponytail, blue eyes, and olive-colored skin.
