Police Seek Help Identifying Person of Interest in East Spencer Homicide

EAST SPENCER, N.C. — Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a person of interest in the homicide of Tyrese James Stiller, who was found dead early Aug. 13.

Officers with the East Spencer Police Department responded around 12:25 a.m. to a residence on Weant Street after receiving a call about a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Stiller deceased at the scene. His death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators said the person of interest was seen in the area around the time of the killing. Police described the individual as wearing a hoodie with a “Lil Durk” logo and carrying a backpack with reflective shoulder straps.

Hoodie believed to have been worn by suspect.

Earlier in the investigation, authorities said they were searching for multiple suspects connected to the case.
