Two men hospitalized after Christmas Eve shooting in Winston-Salem

Two men were hospitalized after a shooting late Christmas Eve in Winston-Salem, according to police.

Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday to the 2900 block of New Walkertown Road after receiving reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police identified the victims as Keivaunaugh Cearon Sanders, 24, and Fernando Monta Noel, 46. Both were taken to a local hospital, where they were listed in critical but stable condition.

Investigators said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. No arrests have been announced, and no suspect information has been released.
