Rockwell Woman Accused of Assaulting Man With Knife


ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A Rockwell woman is accused of attacking a man with a double-edged knife, causing serious injuries, according to a warrant issued by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.


Heather Marie Adkins, 50, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, a felony. The offense occurred on Nov. 20, according to the magistrate’s order.


The warrant alleges Adkins unlawfully and willfully assaulted the victim using a black and green double-edge knife with two blades, resulting in serious injury. No additional details about the incident were included in the court filing.


Adkins was issued a $10,000 secured bond following her arrest.


The case remains under investigation.
