ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A 28-year-old Rowan County man is facing multiple charges, including assault on a pregnant woman and stalking-related offenses, according to a warrant for arrest issued April 3, 2026.
Michael Dillion Lovell has been charged with misdemeanor assault on a pregnant woman, cyberstalking, and misdemeanor stalking. The charges stem from an alleged incident that occurred on May 21, 2024.
According to the warrant, Lovell is accused of assaulting a pregnant woman by pushing her to the ground.
Investigators also allege Lovell engaged in repeated electronic communication intended to harass and annoy the victim, leading to the cyberstalking charge.
In addition, the warrant outlines a pattern of behavior supporting the stalking charge. Authorities allege Lovell followed the victim to multiple locations, including a family crisis center and the courthouse. He is also accused of circling the area in a vehicle and later walking past the magistrate’s office while the victim was inside seeking legal protection.
The warrant states the alleged actions would cause a reasonable person to fear for their safety or the safety of close associates.
Lovell is expected to appear in Rowan County District Court.
