Evenflo has issued a recall for certain All4One convertible car seats after identifying a safety issue involving the recline mechanism when the seat is used in rear-facing mode.
The recall affects Evenflo All4One car seats manufactured between 2022 and 2024.
According to the company, testing showed the recline position can shift in some crashes when the seat is rear-facing. Officials said no injuries have been reported in connection with the issue.
Evenflo said registered owners will begin receiving direct notifications starting Jan. 26 with instructions on how to receive a free replacement seat or an equivalent model.
Parents and caregivers who have not registered their seat are urged to complete product registration and contact Evenflo’s ParentLink Consumer Care team to begin the replacement process.
The company said the affected seats remain approved for use while owners wait for a replacement. As a temporary measure, Evenflo recommends placing a folded towel inside the recline mechanism to fill open space. The towel should not be placed under the car seat.
The recall applies to the following models:
• 39312234 – All4One DLX Latitude
• 39312240 – All4One DLX Reefs
• 39312408 – All4One Car Seat Aries
• 39312408PAL – All4One Car Seat Aries Pallet
• 39312409 – All4One Car Seat Ophelia
• 39312440 – All4One Car Seat Knight
• 39312441 – All4One DLX Car Seat Kingsley
• 39312441COM – All4One DLX Car Seat Kingsley
• 39312441POP – All4One DLX Car Seat Kingsley
• 39312442COM – All4One DLX Belmont
Consumers can also verify recall status through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recall directory by searching the brand or model name.
Evenflo said anyone with questions should contact its customer support line or ParentLink support for assistance with registration and replacement instructions.
