Fire Crews Respond to Diesel Spill at Peeler Road Pilot Following Traffic Accident

Salisbury, N.C. — South Salisbury Fire Department and Salisbury Fire Department responded Tuesday to a traffic accident at the Pilot on Peeler Road that caused a significant diesel spill.

Officials said about 150 gallons leaked from a damaged fuel tank on a commercial truck. Fire crews established containment measures and began cleanup to reduce environmental impact and prevent further hazards.
