ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A Kannapolis woman has been charged in connection with an assault that left a man with multiple facial injuries, according to a magistrate’s order filed by the Landis Police Department.
Tabitha Mae Parham, 38, is charged with misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury and misdemeanor interfering with emergency communication. The warrant states that the incident occurred on December 7, when Parham allegedly struck the victim several times in the face, causing multiple lacerations and bruising.
Police said Parham also prevented an emergency call from being made by taking a phone from the person attempting to contact law enforcement.
Parham was arrested and appeared before a magistrate, where she was given a court date of January 12 in Rowan County District Court. Bond information was not listed in the documents reviewed.
The case remains pending.
