Salisbury Man Charged After Stabbing on North Shaver Street

SALISBURY, N.C. — A man was seriously injured in a stabbing reported Tuesday in the 500 block of North Shaver Street, according to court records and initial emergency reports.
Police were called after a caller reported her father had been stabbed. First responders found a man with two stab wounds to the abdomen. He was transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities later took one suspect into custody.
Court records show Mark Edward Durham was charged with felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury. The charge alleges the victim was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen.
The case is being handled by the Salisbury Police Department. Further details about the victim’s condition have not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
