Two Charged in Dec. 17 Winston-Salem Shooting That Injured Child and Man

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Two people have been charged in connection with a Dec. 17 shooting that left a 3-year-old child and a man wounded, authorities said Thursday.
Police said the shooting happened during a disturbance at a home on Royal Forest Court.
Charges filed
Daryle Julian Tank Yuk Keith, 32, faces:
• Felony inciting a riot resulting in serious injury
• Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
• Discharging a firearm from an enclosure to incite fear
Keith was jailed in the Forsyth County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond, police said.
India Teyana Knight, 26, faces:
• Felony engaging in a riot resulting in serious injury
• Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
• Discharging a firearm from an enclosure to incite fear
Knight was jailed without bond, police said.
Incident details
Officers responded Dec. 17 after reports of gunfire at the home. They found the child and Keith suffering from gunshot wounds. The child’s condition was critical at first, then later listed as stable.
Investigators said multiple adults were involved and several guns were fired during the incident.
The investigation remains active.
