Cabarrus County Coach Charged With Indecent Liberties Involving Students

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — A Cabarrus County man has been charged with multiple felony counts involving a student, according to an arrest warrant filed by the Kannapolis Police Department.


Jonathan Jaheim Henderson, 22, is charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a student, court records show.


The warrant alleges the offenses occurred on or about May 7, 2025, in Cabarrus County. Investigators state Henderson unlawfully and willfully took indecent liberties with two 16-year-old students.


According to the warrant, Henderson was employed as a coach at Christ the King Catholic High School at the time of the alleged offenses, and both victims were students at the same school.


The warrant was issued March 12, 2026. Henderson is listed with an address in Lancaster, South Carolina.


No additional details about the investigation have been released.
