In North Carolina's Cabarrus County, a 25-year-old man from Concord is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon intending to cause serious harm. Court documents reveal that he has been categorized as a high-risk individual due to a past criminal conviction. According to a warrant issued on Nov. 28, he allegedly used a knife to injure another person severely. The Concord Police apprehended him on the same day, and he chose to forego his probable cause hearing set for Dec. 1 in Cabarrus County District Court.
Previous records indicate that the accused had been convicted in Cabarrus County on Aug. 27, 2025, for fraudulent property acquisition. He was handed a suspended sentence and placed on 18 months of supervised probation. Following a risk evaluation, probation authorities labeled him as a high-risk individual in an administrative review filed on Oct. 14. Consequently, he is required to adhere to additional terms, such as observing a nightly curfew with electronic oversight and participating in mandatory substance abuse treatment and monitoring.
