One dead, one injured in Concord shooting on Kite Court

CONCORD, N.C. — One person died and another was injured in a shooting Monday night, according to the Concord Police Department.

Officers responded around 8:15 p.m. to a report of a shooting on Kite Court. Police located two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital. One of the individuals later died. Police have not released the person’s identity.

The condition of the surviving victim has not been made public.

No suspect information or arrests have been announced. The investigation remains ongoing.
